Itinerary 03: Village Tour Nagaland. 10days/ 9nights

 

01.    Kolkota to you will arrived at Dimapur airport around 12:45hrs. Pickup and drive to Kohima(75km/3hrs). Transfer to pre booking hotel. It is capital of Nagaland state. Check in hotel and 1hrs refreshment in hotel. If we have time we can excursion Khonoma village (22km drive) inside the village we will visit by 2hrs nature walk. En route look out for the memorial stones erected to commemorate Feasts of Merit, and the intricate system of bamboo pipes which carry water for long distance. Also we can see 20 different type of rice being grow here. In the Kohima all tribe are settle for part of district, There we can find many tribal. O/n stay cottage / hotel.  

02.    Kohima to Wokha(160km/6hrs). After breakfast we will drive to next destination at Wokka district. Evening leisure tour, we can visit one village by nature walk. O/n stay Lodge/Tent/Hotel/Pvt hut.

03.    Full day in Wakka. Particular the Wakka is home land of Lotha Tribe. The Lotha’s woman are wear the Opvuram. And also known for their colourful dance. Place is reputed for excellent orange and pineapple. O/n stay same place.

04.    Wakka to Tuensang(180km/6hrs). After breakfast we drive to next district headquarter tuensang. This place are inhabitant of Sangtham tribe. Over night stay at Lodge/Private hut.

05.    Full day excursion in tribal village, Noklak village, Panso village. Return to lodge for night stay.

06.    Tuensang to Mokochung(78km/4hrs). After breakfast drive to AO Tribal land of this place. Ao tribal people are follow the prowess of the AO warriors is reflected in gorgeous red and black shawl with the white decorated band that signified their victory over their enemies. O/n stay Tourist lodge / hotel

07.    Mokochung to Mon (176km/6hrs). ).  After breakfast drive for Mon, this day we will have early breakfast. Mon District situated at an altitude of 897.64 meters above sea level. It is the home of the Konyaks tribes. Here it is interesting to see the tattooed faces wearing feathered headgears and traditional dress. Konyak are adept artisans and skilled craftsmen. Here you can find excellent wood carvings, daos (Machetes), guns, gunpowder, headgears etc. Evening arrive and check-in tourist lodge for dinner and overnight. Evening will be free. O/n stay Tourist lodge/Hotel.

08. Full day visit Longwa / Sanyu village of Konyak tribe. Explore this frontier tribal village. After breakfast proceed for full day visit of typical Konyak tribal village, Sanyu. Ruled by the chief Angh, it is one of the prominent village of the Mon District. There is a wonderful wooden monument measuring 8ft. in height and 12 ft. breath which is believe to be constructed by heavenly angels. Carvings of human beings and other creatures are engraved on this monument. Also visit to Konyak Murungs, where one can still see the collection of human skulls. Konyaks were headhunters in the olden days and used to keep the enemies head as a trophy. Return to hotel.

09. Mon to Dibrugarh(340km/7hrs). This day little early drive and on the way we will have breakfast. Enroute visit tea plantation evening leisure trip around Dibrugarh. O/n stay hotel.

10. Dibrugarh – Mohanbari. After break fast drop to airport flight Mohanbari to Kolkota /Delhi. End of Service.

Arrival and departure, We will provide 01 vehicle non a/c jeep, per jeep share by depend on you, Accommodation in standard, Break fast, Lunch, Dinner, (Restricted area permit for Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Part of Sikkim, Tripura), Entrance fee, English speaking guide and local escort.

Cost those not include. Camera fee, personal expanses, any kind of drink, phone call, laundry, Tips. Which are not mention above.

Note:

1.     Please send your document i.e. Xerox copy of passport & visa to be obtain permit processes for Arunachal Pradesh. Document should be reached 4 week in advance.

2.     This traveling circuit is do not have a star hotel. But there is basic standard accommodation only. Circuit house/Tourist Lodge which is run by Government / Small private party. Also this trip will have traveling in very remote and tribal village, facilities are poor service like a telephone, electricity, money changer, road maintained, and you must treat as Nature adventurous trip
