Itinerary. 05: NE Village tour for 25days/22nights
Day 01 :Guwahati – Tezpur(Assam)(220km/6hrs). On arrival, assistance and transfer to Hotel at Tezpur. Evening sight-seeing in and around Tezpur and a boat cruise on the river Brahamaputra in the evening (if there is time). O/n hotel.
Day 02 : Tezpur - Dirrang(220km/7hrs about). Early morning we drive to Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh. On the way we will visit one of the biggest orchidariums in Asia at a place called Tipi. From here we continue our drive to Dirrang. It is a very pleasant drive as we climb up the foothills of the Himalayas and the surroundings are covered in dense tropical jungles. O/n stay at Tourist Lodge.
Day 03 : Dirrang – TAWANG(189km/7hrs about). This morning we will drive to Tawang is at an altitude of about 14000ft and we will be driving through some very steep gradients as we climb up the mountains. Tawang is the major centre of the Mahayana sect of Buddhism and the town stands on a hill commanding a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain ranges. To reach Tawang we will pass the world's second highest pass - the Sela Pass - which is at an altitude of about 15000ft. Here the climate and the scenery takes on an alpine color and it is very cold at this height. O/n stay hotel
Day 04 : Full day Tawang. Full day explore Tawang Monastery, founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso during 17th century A.D. a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama. Later trek to Bramdungchung Ani Gompa. Which are the adobe of Unlike the monks the girls became … and joined the nunnery on there own and there is no social pressure or tradition making the practice compulsory. Bramdung Chung Ani Gompa is the oldest Ani Gompa in the Tawang district. It is situated in the lap of a far off mountain laced with natural senery. This Ani Gompa is under the administration of Tawang Monastery. Evening visit Urgelling Monastery situated 5 km to the south f Tawang Township. It was first of three monasteries build by Urgen Sangpo. The youngest brother of Terton Pempalingpo, the famous Treasurer-Revealer. It was built sometime before the year 1489. It was here in 1683 Tsangyang Gyasto, the sixth Dalai Lama was born Overnight at Tawang.
Day 05: TAWANG–Bomdila(189km/5hrs). From Tawang we will drive to another town, back to Bomdila further up in the mountains. This drive is very fascinating as we will be passing and visiting various tribal villages which are predominantly inhabited by the Monpa tribe. We will get a very close view of their cultural and social life as well as be interact with them en route visit oldest tribal village is known Dirang village, which are local jail. O/n hotel.
Day 06 : Bomdila-Itanagar(320km/7hrs). Early morning we will head for Itanagar, the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh. This is a long drive and we will be passing through dense tropical jungles and tribal villages. The virgin jungle along the road is a wonderful site with their giant trees. This is one of the few areas in the world where these tropical jungles still exist. At Itanagar we will visit the state museum which has a very interesting tribal section - their lifestyles, social customs, dances and handicrafts depicted in dioramas. O/n stay Hotel.
Day 07 : Itanagar-Ziro(175km/5hrs). Today leaving Itanagar early morning we will drive to Ziro, another small but interesting town we can have en route visit Nishi tribal house. The drive along the road to Ziro passes through various tribal villages, chief among them being the Nishi tribe. The town is situated in a valley enclosed by hills covered with dense alpine forests. From Ziro we will also get a chance to visit some Apatani tribal villages. O/n Hotel.
Day 08 :Full Day ZIRO. Ziro is a cultural hot spot of the state. It is a small town set amidst pine forests and bamboo groves and it has various craft centre where bamboo and cane articles are made. Here we get a close look at the art of bamboo and cane weaving. We will also get a glimpse of the local tribal traditional dances. We will visit 2nd largest in asian of tribal village Hong and smallest village in the tribal is Dutta by nature walk. If possible we can visit 2nd tollest Shiv Linga stone in asian. O/n stay same place.
Day 09 : ZIRO – DAPORIJO. Morning drive to Daporijo (425 meters) enroute visit Hill Miri Tribal Villages. The country of Hill miris is covered with dense jungle from the water level of the Kamia to the top of the highest hills. The jungle is mainly high tree jungle with masses of creepers and thick undergrowth. There is abundance of soft wood trees, but first class trees valued for their Timber, such as nahor, sal, tata, poma, and fine toon trees are also there is sufficient good number. The Subansiri river divides the miri hills into two almost equal parts east and west, while its principal tributaries from the east and west, viz., the sidan and the Kamla divide the hills north and south. The Hill Miri villages lie between the altitudes of 914 meters and 1219 meters. It is needless to say that with the ever increasing impact of the outside world the dress particularly among the youth. The Old guards, however, still continue to dress much in the same fashion as their forefathers did. Women wear a small petticoat made of filaments of cane woven together. It is about a foot in breadth and fits so tightly round the lions that it compels them to move in short steps, the women wear their long. The women have bracelets of silver or copper and anklets of finely plaited cane or bamboo. Their hair is adjusted with neatness, parted in the centre and hanging down the back in two carefully Plaited tails. In the ears they wear most fantastic ornaments of silver. The Hill Miris believe that when a person dies his yalo or soul is carried away by the wiyu. responsible for the death and is kept a slave by it for a certain period of time . Later on the yalu passes on to the land of the dead called reli somewhere below the earth. All the Hill miris agree that the Yalo escapes through the shoulders, but there is difference of opinion as to the form in which it leaves the body. O/n Guest House.
Day 10 : Daporijo – Along(160km/4hrs. Today we will drive to Along which is another small town to see a very interesting and colourful tribe called the Adis. As we have seen in the past few days that we have been in this state, every district is inhabited by a particular tribe. O/n stay Hotel.
Day 11: Full day sighseeing around Along. Adi tribal village and Hanging brigde. O/n stay same place.
Day 12:Along-Pasighat(165km/6hrs). After breakfast we will drive to Pasighat. The roads here are real "off road" with hairpin bends and steep gorges which makes the drive so exciting. The roads pass through dense tropical forests which are a sight to be seen as they seem totally impenetrable on the way we can visit tribal village. O/n hotel / Siang Guest house.
Day 13: Pasighat - Dibrugarh. Today we start our journey to cross one of the largest rivers in the world-the Brahamaputra After breakfast we start our journey to Dibrugarh. Along the way we will cross the mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry. O/n stays Hotel.
Day 15 : Dibrugarh – Mon(Nagaland)(230km/5hrs). After breakfast drive for Mon, this day we will have early breakfast. Mon District situated at an altitude of 897.64 meters above sea level. It is the home of the Konyaks tribes. Here it is interesting to see the tattooed faces wearing feathered headgears and traditional dress. Konyak are adept artisans and skilled craftsmen. Here you can find excellent wood carvings, daos (Machetes), guns, gunpowder, headgears etc. Evening arrive and check-in tourist lodge for dinner and overnight. Evening will be free. O/n stay Tourist lodge/Hotel.
Day 16 : Full day visit and excursion Longwa village/S Sanyu village. Explore this frontier tribal village. After breakfast proceed for full day visit of typical Konyak tribal village, Sanyu. Ruled by the chief Angh(King), it is one of the prominent village of the Mon District. There is a wonderful wooden monument measuring 8ft. in height and 12 ft. breath which is believe to be constructed by heavenly angels. Carvings of human beings and other creatures are engraved on this monument. Also visit to Konyak Murungs, where one can still see the collection of human skulls. Konyaks were headhunters in the olden days and used to keep the enemies head as a trophy. Return to hotel.
Day 17 : Mon – Mokochung(220km/7hrs). After breakfast drive to next destination Mokochung of AO Tribe land of this place. Ao tribal people are follow the prowess of the AO warriors is reflected in gorgeous red and black shawl with the white decorated band that signified their victory over their enemies. O/n stay Tourist lodge / hotel
Day 18 : Mokochung-Kohima(189km/5hrs). After breakfast we drive to Kohima capital of Nagaland it located at a height 1495m. A pretty town it is endearingly unspoiled tranquil and immersed in history. O/n stay Hotel
Day 19 : Kohima – Dimapur(75km/3hrs). This day we will excursion at Konoma village. En route look out for the memorial stones erected to commemorate Feasts of Merit, and the intricate system of bamboo pipes which carry water for long distance. Also we can see 20 different type of rice being grow here. After lunch we will drive to Dimapur. O/n stay Hotel.
Day. 20: Dimapur-Sibsagar(Assam)(210km/5hrs). This day we will have a breakfast on the way, enroute visit monument of old temple at Sivasagar. O/n stay hotel.
Day. 21: Sivasagar - Majauli Island(140km/4hrs) The worlds largest River Island is reached by ferry. It is famous for its twenty-two 15th Century "satras". These are Hindu vashnite monasteries functioning as centers of Assamese arts. The worship of Lord Vishnu is through dance, music and poetry. Majuli is home to the Mishing tribe who migrated from Arunachal. Evening Misihing tribal culture show. O/n stay Lodge/ Tent.
Day 21: Majuli – Kaziranga(230km/5hrs). Early breakfast, we drive Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park- a World Heritage Site is home to other than 75% of the world’s total population of the great Indian One horned Rhinoceros. Kaziranga has a wide variety of fauna in its unique habitat. The habitat is mainly elephant grass, close-bobies. The besides rhinos Kaziranga boasts the Asiatic Water Buffalo numbering over 1200. Asian Elephant-over 1000. Indian tiger – 81 plus. Swamp deer. Hog deer. Evening we will have game view by elephant safari in side the park. O/n stay hotel / resort.
Day 22: Kaziraga – Shillong(Meghalaya). (220km/6hrs). Early morning around 5 to 6hrs one more game viewing by jeep safari in side the park for 1hrs. After sightseeing we will straight way drive to Shillong capital of Meghalaya. O/n stay Hotel.
Day. 23: Shillong-Cherraponjee(54km/2hrs). After breakfast drive to next destination at Cheraponjee is known as once world renowned for being the wettest place on earth. Evening free If we have time we can go till view point for Bangladesh border. O/n stay Hotel/ Tourist lodge.
Day. 24: Cheraponjee-Guwahati(154km/5hrs). Evening free for leisure tour, we can sightseeing Kamakhya temple. It is located on Neelachal Hill. The temple is one of the most revered sharines of the hindu faith. O/n stay Hotel
Day. 25: Guwahati – Agartala(587km/12hrs by road)(By flight 40munites). After break drive to Guwahati airport for caught flight to Agartala by Indian Airline. After lunch sightseeing around Agartala town capital of Tripura, we can visit Ujjayanta Palace, it was build by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya Bahadur in 1901. O/n stay Hotel.

2. This traveling circuit is do not have a star hotel. But there is basic standard accommodation only. Circuit house/Tourist Lodge which is run by Government / Small private party. Also this trip will have traveling in very remote and tribal village, facilities are poor service like a telephone, electricity, money changer, road maintained, and you must treat as Nature adventurous trip
